We've been having fun during these early fall weekends. We had a trip to Dubuque for our cousin Ian's wedding and got to enjoy the lovely waterfront there.

We made time on our way out of town to see the Lock and Dam near Dubuque.
A few weekends later, we went to Monroe, Wisconsin for their Cheese Days Fall Festival. Chad and Amy even ran in the 5k race, along with lots of Blair family members! When you cross the finish line, you are given a beer and a cheese sandwich -- best 5k ever!

We also planted a new tree in our backyard -- an autumn blaze maple. We are loving it!
On a recent weekend, we enjoyed a fall walk at Graue Mill just west and south of Chicago.
