Hawaii 2022 -- Days 8-10 Oahu: (Pearl Harbor, Waikiki and the North Shore)

On Saturday, August 6 we said goodbye to wonderful Maui and hopped on a plane for a short island hop over to Oahu.

We had a special trip to learn and pay our respects at Pearl Harbor.

This included getting to tour the USS Missouri.

After exploring the museums we were able to take the boat over to see the sunken USS Arizona and memorial.

We checked into our hotel for a couple of nights in wonderful and active Waikiki.

We had some great pools to enjoy at our hotel.

A special happy hour escape for these two, as the vacation was about to come to a close.

Our Waikiki, with a view of Diamond Head in the background.

On our last day, Monday, August 8, we had time to make a drive up to the North Shore of Oahu before our early evening flight, to see the sea turtles.  It was worth the excursion1

One last amazing fresh fish meal in Hawaii before our flight home.

A meal and 10 days we won't soon forget!

What a great vacation!

Hawaii 2022 -- Days 5-7: Maui (Luau, Snorkeling and Road to Hana)

Wednesday, August 3, we relaxed and the condo rental a bit most of the day, enjoying the ocean nearby and the pool at the complex.

Our view from West Maui to Molokai.

A great view for reading books and relaxing!

That evening, we got all dressed up in our best Aloha wear and went to a super fun luau, with a delicious meal, live entertainment and fun.

Thursday, August 4 we woke up very early to go snorkeling at Molkini Crater a crescent-shaped, partially submerged volcanic crater just off of the south coast of Maui.  Perfect place to snorkel and a wonderful boat ride in the morning.

Another perfect sunset.

Friday, August 5 was our day to tackle the Road to Hana.

After a stop to get a to-go lunch, we stopped at Twin Falls, with a waterfall that we could swim in, after short hike.
