Memorial Day Weekend 2022

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend visit to Grandma and Papa Doobay's house in Iowa.

After arriving on Friday to Coralville, we had a nice Saturday excursion to Eldon, Iowa, home of the house that was the inspiration for Grant Wood's American Gothic.

Luke, Gloria and Oliver.

Tough crowd.

Fast friends.

Too real!

Better.

What a fun visit for us!

After our visit to Eldon, we headed back through Fairfield, IA and enjoyed a nice BBQ meal.

We stopped to check out some Vedic celestial measurement tools near Maharishi University in Fairfield.  Gloria and Oliver above.

We aren't sure exactly what they do or how they work, but we figured we should check it out since, as Doobays, our ancestors would have had some understanding Vedic lessons!  Oliver above.

We had a ton of fun back in Coralville, when we got to see our cousins, Lily, Frankie and Violet.
