After our busy start of Summer -- with trips to Florida and, for Amy, Bolivia -- we entered another form of fun summer: summer camps, enjoying our back yard and soccer fun.

Oliver had two great summer engineering camps. The first was at the University of Illinois, with a focus on Nuclear, Plasma and Radiological Engineering. He got to stay at the dorm and made lots of fun new friends.
We had the idea to honor Dorothy and Harvey with an original piece of art, made by a local artist. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

For the boys' birthday, we followed our annual tradition of going to a Cubs game -- this time though we went to the game a little early, on July 4. A special day for a game, and it ended up being a game for the record books!

Gloria had a week of fun at camp, at Anokanjig in Wisconsinn.
With two kids at camp, we had Luke to ourselves, so the three of us had dinner at a new Korean restaurant in the neighborhood.
Luke performed in the pit orchestra for the summer high school musicial, Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Ahead of their service trip week in Appalachia, the boys had a prayer event at St. Giles.

We got to go to Michael Lyver's wedding. A fun Blair family event. Marc and Jessie and lots of Blairs were in town for the fun event. We all got to get all dressed up!

Luke had a college summer camp adventure too, his to Georgetown University for a week of learning about international politics. He mad some new friends and got a great preview of all you can learn and do in college. He even flew to and from DC all on his own.
