Winter Fun

We had a nice visit to the Art Institute in January.  Gloria with the Monet Haystacks.  A family favorite!  We know Grandpa Blair loves these too.

More Monet fun.

Oliver and Gloria with Seurat.

Luke and Oliver with American Gothic.

A view from the Modern Wing.

Oliver really enjoyed this piece on an exhibit on Brazilian art.

We've enjoyed indoor swimming lessons at our gym this winter -- the best part for Luke and Oliver is getting to use the gym's climbing wall after the lessons.

We went to our school's annual International Fest.  Here is Oliver making flags from around the world.

We participated in the Geography Bee -- Dad even MC'ed!

Gloria had to choose an animal for her kindergarten project and present three facts about that animal to the entire class.  Gloria chose the narwhal and had a blast.

Gloria has joined Girl Scouts.

What a great bunch of girls!

Chad got to be a visitor to Luke's school as a Mystery Reader.  We read from Shel Silverstein.

The weather has been all over the place.  On a warm day we enjoyed ice cream.

A few days later we had a ton of snow!  Gloria and Luke above.

Nothing beats an awesome fort.  Oliver above.

Amy and the kids have enjoyed making cookies.  Good thing for the kids they have in fact been good!

Chad got to go with Gloria to Disney on Ice.  Gloria dressed up as Rapunzel and Amy helped her with a special braid in her hair.

A magical night.  We saw Belle, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Elsa and Moana.  What a night!

Amy made a special meal for Chad -- Bake and Choka, as well as Dal.  What a treat and what a feast!

Chad got to visit Gloria's classroom on Valentine's day -- taking the day off to celebrate his birthday.  He also got to stop in at Gloria's first French class.

Look who dropped in!  Hi Oliver!

One of Gloria's fun valentine's projects.

What a treat to visit Gloria's school!

What, Ash Wednesday on Valentine's Day and Dad's Birthday!  That's a lot of activity for one day!

We had a great birthday celebration -- Amy made a feast and Gloria played Happy Birthday on the piano.

A perfect birthday.

40 is fun!

The boys went to a Chicago Wolves hockey game this weekend.  A good time!

Meanwhile, the girls went to a super fun play at DePaul University.

What a fun time!
