April and May 2018

We have been enjoying Spring in and around Oak Park.  Here is Easter:

Oliver, Luke and Gloria.

Chad as Mystery Reader at Oliver's School.  Super fun time!

Amy volunteered at Gloria's Kindergarten class on Earth Day for a lesson on recycling.

We have been in full baseball mode this Spring.  The boys are playing in a machine-pitch league and Chad has volunteered as one of the assistant coaches.  We are having a lot of fun.  We started out with a little practice at the batting cages.  Luke and Oliver above.

Amy and the kids took to the El for a City adventure while Chad was traveling for work.  Luke, Gloria and Oliver at the Hancock Building.

Gloria had her kindergarten concert.

Gloria is in the top row, third from right.  Audience favorite:  "We Are the World."

We finished our master bathroom renovation, which ended up including a new hallway closet, new closets for each of Chad and Amy and a few light renovations of our room.  We love every part of it, as you can tell from Amy's reaction above.

What, our own closets!  Yes!

New hallway storage!  Score!

A long time in the making -- we should have done this earlier!

The kids came with Chad to the annual University of Michigan Law Alumni in Chicago volunteer day event, helping prepare packages of clothing and toys for kids in need.   Luke above.

A fun service event.

More baseball!  Oliver on first.  [The first base coach should be coaching and not making his players pose for pictures!]

Luke up to bat!

We had a fun Mother's Day.

The kids and Chad made a fancy breakfast in bed for Amy.

We also enjoyed some time on Mother's Day in a local park after church.  Gloria above.

Luke and Oliver had their Third Grade Spring Sing at school.

The boys have been busy learning the states and capitals.

Chad and Amy had a fun date night -- Hall and Oates!  A fun time!

We had our visit to the dentists this weekend.  No cavities!  Great work, kids!
