Early Fall 2020

Amy and Gloria's spectacular giant sunflower garden!  An annual treat for us all to enjoy, right from off our own back deck!

This special turned 8, and with social distance orders in place, we got creative in our celebrating.  We had a wonderful group of Gloria's friends join for a game a movie watching event via zoom and it was a huge hit for all involved.

Oliver, Luke and Gloria.

Happy Birthday, Gloria!

School in Oak Park has remained remote only this year, and to our amazement, has actually worked out quite well, in part due to our great teachers but also in great part due to our three great young scholars who have taken to it with aplomb.

Gloria, third grade.

Luke, sixth grade.

Oliver, sixth grade.

Oliver and Luke have started Middle School, which comes with real grades and more responsibilities.

We all are having a lot of fun, with plenty of time for breaks and family lunches and even occasional short bike rides to the park during the day if it works out.

A lot of keep track of!

It's a busy house.

Thank goodness for strong wi-fi.

And great kids!

A lot of hard work by everyone!

Strange as it all is, we really are all having a good time with this arrangment.

Most activities for the kids are shut down but luckily our soccer program was able to make a workable season for the kids.  Gloria above.

Amy's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, performed by Oliver.

Happy Birthday, Amy!

We got some much needed open space on a nice Labor Day escape to Blair Farms.

Chad and Oliver.

A birthday reprise for our two birthday girls.

Great times with Grandma and Grandpa Blair.

Checking on the cows.

Planning the next model airplane session.

Gloria and I have been making crepes for lunch about once a week.  A fun treat for us!

We've been loving our back deck this year, more than ever.

For Indigenous People's Day Weekend, we have a couple of extra days off school, so Grandma and Grandpa Blair hosted all three kids for an extra long weekend of farm fun.

Meanwhile, we got to enjoy a quiet weekend walking around Oak Park and enjoying the change of seasons.

We added a little fun in our backyard to extend our ability to enjoy the backyard as the weather cools.  A small fire pit!

Perfect for smores!

We enjoyed a fun Birthday Zoom party for Deb with the Blair clan.  What a fun time!
