Luke, Oliver and Gloria: Fall 2024

Fall 2024 began with some Blair Farms corn brought to our house by Marc and Jessie.

Luke and Oliver had a fun start to the Marching Band season with a camp in Wisconsin with the whole band to learn this year's program.

I was sworn into the WI and NY bars this year; above the ceremony in Madison.

Amy and I enjoyed a fun night out watching a stage production of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil in Chicago with our friends Winston and Marisa.

The following week, Gloria had her first day of school. 7th grade!

Gloria had a great soccer season this fall. She has been the go-to on her team for corner kicks.

Homecoming 2024! Friends organized a pre-event gathering for food and photos ahead of the dance for the boys' main group of friends. A great bunch of boys.

Several marching band competitions and performances at the various home football games made for a busy and fun fall.

Gloria's soccer team had a travel game near Champagne which made for a fun weekend.

Gloria also received training so she could referee soccer games, and make money!

Grandpa Doobay made these great custom made hook lines with supervision and editing by Grandma Doobay; perfect for our basement entry. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

They are already being put to great use!

My firm gave me an award for my pro bono work, which was great, but the best part was that the whole family came into the office for the ceremony. They got all dressed up, came into the city and we had a fun dinner in the city as a family after the event.

A special day

Beautiful fall in Oak Park.

Neighbor friends had a parents' Halloween Party -- costumes demanded. Our village recently moved from allowing curbside leaf pile collections to mandatory leaves in bag collections. Seemingly, the biggest controversy our town has seen in years. We made light of it by dressing up as bags of leaves. Our costumes won the aware for most creative costumes! A fun event. :)
